    A dentisteria é a área de intervenção da medicina dentária que trata lesões dentárias com restauração: fraturas, traumatismos, cáries, etc.

    É importante diagnosticar a lesão o mais cedo possível, para facilitar o tratamento de restauração e para proteger a saúde do dente.

  • Próteses (fixa e removível)

    Prostodontia é a área de intervenção da medicina dentária que permite substituir os dentes perdidos.

    Próteses removíveis

    Próteses dentárias removíveis são aquelas que se podem tirar da boca e voltar a colocar. Há duas categorias de próteses removíveis: as acrílicas e as esqueléticas, que podem ser parciais ou totais.

    Próteses fixas

    As próteses fixas podem ser coroas ou pontes e têm como objetivo reproduzir ao máximo a dentição natural. Não podem ser removidas pelo paciente. As coroas ou pontes são peças dentárias criadas no laboratório da clínica. Estes "novos dentes" serão aparafusados aos implantes ou colocados sobre a raiz do dente, se for saudável.
